At this international five-star hotel, it's all about a unique blend of Japanese and Dutch culture! As a full-time breakfast chef, you ensure that the guests' breakfast is a culinary celebration every day.
Do you enjoy working at a high level with fresh ingredients, and are you in the possession of an eye for detail? Then you'll feel right at home in this environment! You'll be part of a kitchen team dedicated to delivering top-tier dishes.
As a full-time breakfast chef, you'll be responsible for the preparation and execution of the hotel's breakfast service. Your tasks will include:
- Preparation and Cooking of Breakfast Dishes: You are responsible for preparing breakfast dishes according to set standards and recipes. You ensure that each dish meets the high standards of the hotel.
- Manning Live Cooking Stations: In the breakfast restaurant, you prepare dishes live for guests. Not only do you focus on the quality of the food, but you also provide a great experience by interacting with guests.
- Stock Management and Cost Control: You assess the quality, freshness, and shelf life of ingredients and ensure proper stock management. You also control costs and ensure the kitchen runs efficiently.
- Mise en Place: Preparation is key in the kitchen. You ensure that everything is ready for service so that operations run smoothly.
- Advising and Interacting with Guests: You are the main point of contact for guests during breakfast. You advise them on their choices and ensure they have the best possible experience.
- Maintaining Hygiene: You follow strict hygiene regulations and ensure the kitchen remains clean and organized at all times.
- Developing New Menu Items: Together with your team, you work on developing new dishes and improving the current menu. Creativity is highly valued!
Moreover, you’re an early bird who enjoys starting the day early and finishing work in the early afternoon, leaving plenty of time to enjoy the rest of your day!
What we offer:
- Salary in group 5: at least €2413.57 up to €3000 for a 38 hour contract;
- Bonus: 1 week salary upon achieving the budgeted GOP (Gross Operating Profit) and a successful year-end evaluation;
- Training budget up to €1000;

- After completing the probation period, you will receive a free overnight stay with breakfast (for 2 people), so you can experience the hotel as a guest!
What we ask:
- Minimum mbo level 4 or equivalent ability ; as a cook
- You have 1-2 years of relevant work experience;
- You live near to Amsterdam;
- You have the social hygiëne certificate;
- Willing to start work early in the morning!
